I am older now
and yes,
less sure of my world.
It's just—
I have climbed
the foothills of
my world
only to see the vastness
(the undiscovered country?)
beyond,
slopes and valleys
I've yet to tread
and may not
in my brief time.
So I've lost
the confidence
to claim knowledge
of all worlds.
But you have found
your way
to my world, and
I know these hills
as well as anyone, so
I will gladly
show you the way.
